Project note
Courtyards, deep verandahs, patterned floors and timber columns translate the spatial character of Chettinad architecture into a functioning city hotel. Urban Arts worked across guest rooms, banquet and conference spaces, MEP services, customised wardrobes, bathrooms, furniture and furnishings. Antique doors and architectural elements were retrofitted into the new work, allowing memory, making and hotel operations to occupy the same project.
