Project note
Kachiguda Railway Station was built in 1916 under Mir Osman Ali Khan, the seventh Nizam, and was declared a heritage structure in 2003. Working with South Central Railway and the Department of Archaeology, Urban Arts prepared a condition assessment, repair recommendations and tender documentation, then guided restoration using compatible lime mortar and jack-arch roofing systems. Parts approaching permanent failure were made safe without surrendering the construction logic of the original building.
