Project note
The commission crossed the usual boundary between conservation and new work. Urban Arts addressed the restoration of the existing museum, designed the new extension and developed its interiors and exhibition environment. Display cases, lighting, circulation and architectural detail were coordinated so that the collection—not the apparatus around it—remains visually primary.
